This Ballet / Tap combo class teaches basic ballet and tap technique and terminology. With a focus on improving flexibility & coordination, strengthening small motor skills, and recognizing rhythmic sounds and patterns, this class is full of fun and sure to be your little one's favorite activity of the week!
A Ballet / Jazz combo class for ages 3-5. This class teaches basic ballet and jazz technique and terminology. Similar to our Twirl & Tap class, but with a focus on Jazz instead of Tap.
Ballet is a dance form that emphasizes grace, precision, and strength. Training in ballet will aide in all other areas of dance. Enrollment in a co-requisite Ballet Technique class is required for dancers at an intermediate level and above.
Ballet Technique is suggested for dancers who wish to develop their technique at a quicker pace. This is a non performance class and is required for any student who is enrolled in Ballet Performance, Contemporary, or Lyrical.
Jazz uses rhythm and syncopated movement with an emphasis on flexibility, technique, and the development of coordination. This class may fulfill the co-requisite requirement for dancers enrolled in Acting.
Tap is a dance form characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Tap emphasizes rhythm, tempo, and musicality.
Musical theatre is rooted in the diverse history of Broadway musicals. Instruction touches on acting, vocal, and dance, and a knowledge of ballet, tap, and jazz will benefit students in this class.
Hip hop is a range of street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of hip hop culture.
Contemporary and lyrical can be considered interpretive dance styles that embrace innovation and blend techniques from various genres.
Acro blends dance technique with acrobatic elements, with an emphasis on flexibility, balance, and strength.
Dance Team is now considered a GHSA sport and is blowing up in the West Georgia community! We are proud to offer Dance Team classes for students aspiring to be on their Middle or High School team! Dance team classes will focus on turn sequences, leaps, choreography, and other dance team technique.
Acting is those interested in having a speaking part / acting role in our summer recital or those interested in learning about the roles of the backstage stage crew, including: stage manager, light and sound operator, stagehand, wardrobe chief, and scenic artist. Any dancer who enrolled in Acting must also be enrolled in a Broadway Dance or Jazz class.
